The original Captain America, Steve Rogers returning from the grave this july
Marvel Comics has announced in the The New York Daily News that only after being dead for 2 1/2 years, the original Captain America, Steve Rogers will return from the grave this july. Steve Rogers will make his triumphant return in a five part miniseries, ‘Reborn’, which will be drawn by Bryan Hitch and written by Ed Brubaker.
Of course there is no word on how Steve Rogers will be resurrected. It’s surprising that Marvel has made such a straight-forward announcement regarding Steve’s return, thus confirming fan’s speculation for the last few months as to what the ‘Reborn’ miniseries would be about.
Since Captain America’s death in 2007, his former partner James “Bucky” Barnes has assumed the mantle of Captain America. Some fans have come to accept this, but the majority of Marvel readers have been patiently awaiting the return of Steve Rogers as Captain America.
Reborn #1 will be on sale July 1st.
