Something horrible happened today, and no-one cared.

Today, the 15th of October 2011, Batman Adventure: The Ride 2 at Warner Bros Movie World closed permanently to make room for the Green Latern Coaster opening this summer.

For almost twenty years, BA:TR2 gave Australia the one thing is needed above all else. A secure economy? Proper border security that humanely treats asylum seekers? Improvements to infrastructure, especially in the areas of health and education? No, it was better than that.

It gave us a fucking anamatronic Michael Keaton. Talking to bad early-90s CGI characters.

If that is not the meaning of life I don’t know what is.

  3. keyboardpubes said: I was one of the last to go on it. It has to be said that the original Red Triangle Gang version was longer and better than the new Mr Freeze’s diamond cannon version. I’m not sad to see it go.
