It looks big and a bit silly and that’s kind of the POINT so I am so super excited for this. Edgerton! Also calling out the music for not being period is dumb - OBVIOUSLY it’s not period, derr brain. And trailers are not necessarily indicative of artistic directions made for the film yadda yadda yadda.

This film looks big and bombastic and stupid but to me that has always been the point of Baz Luhrmann films. Anything less would have been a cop-out.
